Information for registered political parties, candidates and agents

The Electoral Commission have issued Guidance for Candidates and Agents.  This provides practical advice for anyone who wants to stand as an individual candidate or as a party list candidate at a European Parliamentary election in Great Britain.  There is also Guidance for anyone who will be acting as an agent at these elections.

The first briefing for political parties, agents and prospective candidates for the North West region took place on the 26 March. But copies of the presentation and nomination packs are available. If you are a party or an individual candidate wanting to stand in the election you are advised to contact the office of the Regional Returning Officer by email or call 0161 234 3257.

The nomination period for the European Parliamentary Election runs from the 15 April through to 24 April and nomination papers can be submitted during this period on any working day 10am to 4pm. Nomination forms should be hand delivered to: Room 134, Manchester Town Hall, Albert Square, M2 5DB.
